Moonlit Meditations II
Here I sit in the Hotchkiss lounge at 12:30 AM frantically working on Old Testament and Intro to Lit, trying to get a jump start on one of the busiest weeks yet of the semester. However, instead of feeling panicky, fretful, or mad at life, I find myself at peace and actually immensely happy. How can this be?
Here are just a couple reasons:
1) God has put awesome people in my life. All my life I have been surrounded by amazing people that have provided me with friendship and encouragement in my faith. The prime example of this would be my family. I could not ask for parents that are more commited to God's Word, and I thank God for two brothers who continue to teach me Christianity by example, and now I have a sister-in-law who does so as well. Now I go to school at The Master's College and attend church at Grace Community Church, where I am also surounded by a plethora of solid people. Praise God for the blessings.
2) God's truth is good in all circumstances. This is going to be a busy week. Tomorrow I have a project/test due in two of my classes and then I have big assignments or tests in my other three classes later in the week. Should this make me worry and shun other people because I'm too busy being concerned about myself? No! God is the same at all times, and through his strength I can live victoriously even in busy times. I can still let his truth dwell in me richly and let his amazing love overflow in my relationships with others.
That's all for my moonlit meditations for tonight.
You did not wait for me
To draw near to you
But you clothed yourself in frail humanity
You did not wait for me
To cry out to you
But you let me hear you voice calling me
And I'm forever grateful...that you came to seek and save the lost
